Find the Right Contacts for Your Eyes
Wearing contact lenses isn’t just about convenience—it’s about getting the right fit for comfort, clarity, and long-term eye health. Contact lenses offer freedom from glasses, but finding the perfect fit is important.
At Belterra Eyecare, we provide comprehensive contact lens exams and fittings so that your lenses feel comfortable, provide clear vision, and keep your eyes healthy. We also offer specialty contact lenses, such as scleral lenses, for people with unique needs.
Whether you’re a first-time wearer or need specialty lenses, we’re here to help. Contact us to schedule your contact lens exam and fitting today.
Request AppointmentWhat to Expect During a Contact Lens Exam
A contact lens exam goes beyond a standard eye exam. Since contact lenses sit directly on your eyes, we perform a corneal health evaluation to check for any conditions that may affect lens wear.
Contact lens prescriptions are different from glasses prescriptions and require a separate fitting process. Your doctor will also measure your eye shape, tear film quality, and prescription to determine the best lens type for you.

Contact Lens Fittings & Follow-Ups
A proper fit is essential for comfort and eye health. Our contact lens fitting service includes:
- Initial fitting and evaluation
- Trial contact lenses to see how your eyes respond
- Follow-up visits to fine-tune your prescription
- Adjustments, if needed, to find the best lens for your lifestyle
Insurance may cover part of the cost, but patients are responsible for any remaining fees.
Types of Contact Lenses We Offer
We carry a wide range of contact lenses to match your needs, including:
- Daily, bi-weekly, & monthly lenses: Convenient, comfortable options for everyday wear
- Toric lenses: Designed for astigmatism correction
- Multifocal lenses: Ideal for those needing both near and distance vision correction
- Aspheric lenses: Enhanced optics for sharper vision
- Hybrid lenses: A combination of soft and rigid lens materials for comfort and clarity
- Scleral lenses: Larger lenses that provide clear vision for irregular corneas
Scleral Lenses: Comfort for Complex Eyes
Scleral lenses can be a great solution for patients with keratoconus, severe dry eye, or irregular corneas. Unlike traditional contact lenses, they rest over the sclera (the white part of the eye), creating a fluid-filled cushion that enhances comfort and provides sharp, stable vision.
This design makes them ideal for those with high astigmatism, post-surgical complications, or extreme prescriptions.
Because they are custom-fitted to each patient, scleral lenses offer stability, all-day comfort, and improved eye hydration. We also use corneal mapping to provide a precise, personalized fit.
Our Contact Lens Fitting Policies
For a smooth and successful contact lens experience, please review our policies:
- A contact lens fitting and evaluation must be performed within 60 days of a comprehensive eye exam.
- Patients are responsible for scheduling and attending follow-up visits to finalize the prescription.
- Prescriptions will not be released until the fitting process is complete.
- Follow-up visits after 60 days may incur additional charges.
- Contact lens fitting fees must be paid in full at the time of the exam and are non-refundable.
- Due to limited supply, additional trial lenses will not be provided after the prescription is finalized.
- Texas law requires contact lens prescriptions to be renewed annually.
